A private Equity Backed business was constantly losing acquisition opportunities, the business could find assets and open discussions but found it difficult to progress even into the first round of bids. We spent some time looking at their business development history and it became clear that over the years their valuation model had become misaligned with the market and the opportunities they were chasing. They were consistently under-bidding. We introduced our valuation model and methods of evaluating the assets presented. The business is now getting into processes and recently made a successful global acquisition.
