A UK Specialist company had established a very lucrative niche in a particular therapy area. They did not have funds for acquisitions, so licensing was their priority. For some years they had been trying to licence in new products but it was very difficult to find opportunities which did not require further clinical development. Through our network we found a complimentary company which was developing medical devices in our client’s niche but lacked the commercial presence in hospitals to realise their potential. We brokered the deal and our client has launched four new products with access to a further five.
